The opening of profile of the historic Institution, Midnapore Collegiate School is itself a history which bears the tradition and culture covering almost two centuries from its auspicious establishment till(1834) reaching the cultivation of educational development in the present days of science and technology from the days of patronage by the Maharaja of Burdwan, Rishi Rajnarayan Basu and the historic ideals of Sahid Kshudiram Basu and his associates down to the achievements of many passed out promising citizens of our country.
